Re-greetings to you, Chris,
Yesterday, I wanted to talk about a hypothetical way to avoid the Corona Virus,
against which the world is fighting: shutting down one's computer whenever he
does not need to use Internet for a reason. In other words, reducing Internet's
use and do things that do not need it for a while each day.
As you are part of the community to help people with SONAR or to choose the
best audio interface (digital audio workstation), I would like to compare this
terrible obstacle course to a phasing or flanger effect in a passage of a
popular song, like the Doobie Brothers' "Listen to The Music". I am thinking of
that as this effect makes you pretend to be in a tunnel: avoiding that beast.
I hope you'll understand.
Thank you.
Adel

I'm not sure what you are talking about.
The link I provided is legitimate. If you want to help Stanford University and
others with research by donating some CPU cycles, go for it. If not, that's
fine too. But, at least in that instance, it is not a scam. They're not trying
to secretly mine criptocurrencies with your computer.

Greetings Chris and the community,
I guess you are mentioning that leaving one's computer on at any time
may be an impact for the virus? The coronavirus? In other words,
pirates may enter your database when you are away from it, keeping it
on. We all should stay alert and avoid that beast, believe me.
Thank you.

If you're like me and leave the PC running 24/7 anyway, you may as well
donate some CPU cycles to science while you sleep.
