works:
Set your from and through times, as long as you want the loop, say bars 4
through 12, and select the desire track with control enter. Then in the
punch dialog, set your punch from and through, say bars 6 through 10. Then
press the l key to enable loop mode. Then start recording in punch mode.

Sonar's Reference Manual seems to show this as a possibility, but I haven't
been able to do this successfully yet. Ideas?
