Not necessarily, it is just a add on to CT, and does not inhibit the use of Hot
Spot Clicker as well.

Sweet Spot does not interfere with Hot Spots.

    Bill,

Do I have to remove version 8.5 of Caketalking before I install 8.8 with the
    points?
And is there a posibillaty to use hot spot clicker and the option from
dancing dots in combination or do I have to remove also Hot Spot Clicker?

    Regards.
    Johan

With apologies to those who have already received our Constant Contact
version of this announcement sent earlier today, here's the news:

Announcing Upgrade to CakeTalking 8.8 for SONAR 8.5.3.
    The sweetest CakeTalking upgrade yet!

Don't you love it when something that is already really, really good gets
way, way better? The latest example of that happy phenomenon is (drum roll,
    please:
    Budda budda budda budda boom'm'm'm'm'm'm'm'm'm'm?

CakeTalking Upgrade version 8.8.4 for SONAR 8.5 With Sweet Spots

The brand-new, break-through Sweet Spots feature allows you to mark
specific locations in an inaccessible plug-in where you want to issue a
mouse click to access a particular function. It's an awesome new utility
that will give you access to unscripted and inaccessible windows. Sweet Spot
Clicker is like Jim Snowbarger's Hot Spot Clicker except it's simpler and
easier to learn. The help of a sighted user may be initially useful when
creating your sweet spots. But once created, you can independently open the
"Move Mouse to a Sweet Spot" dialog, and choose any of those locations, and
the mouse will be moved to them.

List of the new features in this upgrade:

    . Sweet Spot Clicker.
. Silencing JAWS When Changing Parameter Values: INSERT + CONTROL +
NumPad 5 will toggle off and on the speaking of the value changes when the
value change keys are being used.
. CakeTalking installer Recognizes Installations of JAWS that are not
    on the C drive
During installation of CakeTalking, if JAWS is not installed on the C drive,
the CakeTalking installer will still work.
. Cakewalk Stereo Compressor/Gate is Now fully scripted. It combines a
compressor and a gate into a single effect, so you can increase the overall
dynamic level of an audio signal, without distorting the loud parts, and
    without excessively boosting low-level noise.
. Coordinates of Active Cursor. Pressing Alt+Delete will tell you the
absolute coordinates of the active cursor, and then the color at that point.
Holding ALT and pressing DELETE twice quickly will tell you the relative
coordinates of the active cursor, and the color at that point.
. Up and Down Arrowing in the Event List View. When Up and Down
arrowing in the Event View, first the value in the column is spoken and then
    the column name is spoken.

As we wrote last month when CakeTalking 8.8 was first released:
"You are invited to step up to the most feature-rich, user-friendly,
reliable and helpful version yet of the classic CakeTalking for SONAR
accessibility solution for blind audio producers."

    OK, consider yourself re-invited!

    To order, go to:
    www.dancingdots.com/prodesc/CakeTalkingForSONAR.htm

If you already own a license for CakeTalking 8.8, there is no cost to
upgrade. See the CTWebUpdate entry in the CakeTalking 8.8 submenu on the
Windows Start Menu to download this upgrade. If that does not work yet, use
the same link which we sent to you originally to download this upgrade.

To get the whole scoop on all the features of CakeTalking 8.8, see the
entire 32-page What's New document on our site:
