[ddots-l] Bank / Patch Funny Stuff

Greetings from 'Down Under'....:)
To all the people who regularly answer emails on this list, you are all
doing a fantastic job... keep up the excellent replies.
I have a small query of my own.
Problem:
On some soft synths using the Bank / Patch controls in the Track View does
not appear to have any affect on the soft synth. No matter how I change the
Bank & Patch it is always the same sound.
I do check to make sure that there is a different Bank Number or Patch Name
in the various fields but still the sound does not change.
Could it be that I have missed a Midi setting somewhere in the Midi Options
Dialog Boxes?
Not really sure what to do... The two soft synths in question at the moment
are Absynth 3 and LiveSynth the Sound Font player.
