Mary ellen:
The audigy will not work. While they claim low latency and asio support, I know of noone who has actually gotten it to work with Sonar. Go to www.dancingdots.com and click on the Sound cards link for suggestions.

Subject: [ddots-l] Audigy sound cards:

Will the Audigy cards work with Sonar? My techie and I tried unsuccessfully to get soundfrom my IBM laptop so we tried with my desktop and the Techie said that what I needed was an Audigy sound card as the one built in was very low end and would not do a good job with supporting Midis. So was wondering if this was a good card to have since I know nothing whatsoever about this sort of stuff.
