Phil,
Are you saying Steve Spamer knows how to assign custom colors in Sonar? I just
took a look at it for the first time and, as far as I can tell, and I can see,
there doesn’t appear to be a way to move around the basic colors grid or the
custom colors dialog in such a way that you can move the highlighted color
choice with arrow keys.
I see why Xavier would want to do this. But I don’t see how it could be done,
even by counting key presses.
While I have no direct use for this, and I could use my vision to do it if I
needed to do it, it would be mildly entertaining to hear any solution to the
issue.

So I’ve tried using the colors dialog to assign colors to audio tracks in
sonar, but no luck with jaws. Does anyone know of a way to do this? Or is it
even possible using screen readers?
If not I’ll have to get somebody to make me some presets using the color
picker, or if somehow I can type up RGB values do it that way, but figured
I’d ask first on list before I go reinventing the wheel.
If I make some presets and can export them, I’ll share them on list just in
case somebody else is interested.
In case you’re wondering why I’d want to do this, it is a common thing to do
for sighted producers and engineers, to break the project down into track
groups by colors. It makes mixing easier and finding groups of tracks quicker
during takes. This is kind of a must when collaborating on projects with
sighted producers. Thus I want to export projects using color schemes, to
make things easier for all of us. ;)
