Basic Auslan Classes - WA Deaf Society What are the benefits of doing the course? • Qualified Auslan teacher, • Gain a better understanding about Deaf people and their culture, • Learn how to communicate with Deaf people, • It’s a great way to express yourself, • It builds bridges between hearing and Deaf people, • You don’t have to shout across the room, • Its only approximately $25 per week to learn a new language, • A workbook will be provided, • You will receive a certificate upon completion. WA Deaf Society is now hosting Basic Auslan (Australian Sign Language) Classes. This Basic Auslan course is designed as an 8 week introduction to Auslan and the Deaf community, and is aimed at those who are interested in; • Learning a visual language in a relaxed environment. • Communicating with Deaf colleagues, clients, family or friends. • Considering a career working in the deafness sector. • Enjoy learning in a relaxed environment. There are 2 sessions available. Where: The Deaf Community Centre at 46/5 Aberdeen St, East Perth, 6004 When: Monday 10:00am—12:30pm from the 7th of May to the 2nd of July. Tuesday 5:30pm - 8pm from the 8th of May to the 26th of June. $190 Per Person Interested?
