Message from Emma Bennison - Chief Executive Officer of Blind Citizens Australia

The Australian Bankers Association, (ABA) has today announced the appointment
of Graeme Innes to conduct a review into banking accessibility. We congratulate
Graeme on this important appointment which is particularly significant given
the increasing challenges our community is experiencing in relation to touch
screen accessibility.
You can hear more about Graeme’s role in an interview on the ABC’s “World
Today” program at the link below:

Rikki Chaplin is BCA’s representative on the ABA’s accessibility taskforce. We
will keep members posted on its progress and let you know how you can be
involved. We wish Graeme all the very best in his new role and look forward to
being involved in the development of banking accessibility standards which will
protect our human rights as technology continues to evolve. Emma BennisonChief
