From the way back when memories Word Perfect wasn't truly WYSIWYG but then
Wordstar most definitely was not.

I do recall writing a few converters including one that took Olivetti word
processor files and converted them to the markup text that Wordstar used.
Used that one to convert about a thousand files from a failing unit into
something that Wordstar (and MS Word using the built-in import) users
could handle.

The hackers among you should be able to figure out what the WP markup is
just from reading the text in Zap or StrongED.

Things like BBC Micro View might have handled WP files, Impression
maybe. Anyone got a working copy of 1st Word Plus for RISC OS.

Just checking, Impression has a loader called "LoadWP42". Perhaps that's
what is required.

Looking at the file in !Edit I see "Word Perfect 4.2 loader"
