FWIW I recently managed to edit a pdf file entirely within RISC OS, using
Snapper to produce a sprite of the file, loaded the sprite into an OPro
window, and added text in a frame. I then made a pdf from this, using
PrintPDF. The resulting file is on

"download the form from here" link. The added bit is the "how did you hear
about us", and I think it looks pretty good.
I have thought about writing this up either for Archive or for the WROCC
newsletter; do people think this might be of interest?

RISC OS still remains a fine tool for DTP and documents for the web. You
can do almost anything if you put your mind to how to do it. I have
extracted text from a pdf and edited it, edited pictorial material from
pdfs, and still produce sundry newsletters and documents to modern
standards using Ov Pro. Of course being essentially modular it does mean
locating all the bits of software one needs (and sometimes remembering how
to use them). I have just finished a glossy brochure to support a funding
bid by a charitable trust which involved work on a satellite view map by
essentially the same method that Peter describes.
