And also, say I publish a new piece (like I did today, for example). Then
if someone else notices, and mentions it, well... I have no real control
over that. Of course, that doesn't mean anyone *should* do this. Just
that they *can*.
I mean, OK, I sort of spilled the beans on this one. But I mean in the
future, and only if it merits it.

There is a middle ground. Set a recurring calendar alert to go check the
channel. No need to subscribe nor get announcements.
I have to use alerts for everything. My brain is swiss cheese.

I mean, YouTube is just Google. Google already knows everything there is
to know about everybody. I don't worry about YouTube.

YouTube is my main media\entertainment spot. I use an ad-blocker in
Chrome called AdBlock, which apparently totally covers YouTube. I have
never had a problem with anything that I could identify as sourced through
YouTube, AND I have no ads when I watch YouTube, AND when they embed ads in
the YouTube videos themselves I can easily just skip right past them.
I didn't even know that YouTube had ads, for quite a number of years.

I’m so sick of getting emails that I never signed up for, that I’ve
been unsubscribing from stuff ever since the pandemic started.
My fear is that YT is going to use my email in ways that I don’t want.
I wish there were ad blockers for that kind of stuff.
I’d much rather hear from you every few weeks when you’ve uploaded
something new. :)

Thanks!
I don't want to pester people, though, who have no interest in the
channel and if I'm pushing out a piece every two or three weeks those
announcements could get tiresome. That's why it's just better to be
subscribed. If I think a piece is *extra* worthy of attention I might
mention it, but I don't want to produce a steady stream of what are
basically ads.

PLEASE announce them when you put them up!

Well, I figure at this point pretty much everyone who wants to be
subscribed to my YouTube channel probably is, and thus I won't be
announcing every time I toss a new video up. Two more have gone up since
the last announcement (making a total of six now), and while I might
mention new ones here, in the interests of not being a pest I also might
not.
For those who haven't subscribed, but want to, but don't remember the
channel address, the main channel is at:
