Canadians seek to bring lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, former leader of China,
for his crimes against humanity
Toronto Falun Gong practitioners in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario,
Quebec and other provinces across the nation are actively seeking legal means
to bring former Chinese leader, the architect of the persecution, Jiang Zemin,
to justice for torture and crimes against humanity through the Canadian legal
system.
“The persecution has already harmed too many people including Canadians. The
lies, slander, and brutality are tearing away at the fabric of human conscience
while blatantly disregarding the law. It is our responsibility to hold Jiang
accountable for his crimes”, said Shenli Lin, Montrealer who suffered two full
years in a Chinese labor camp for his belief in Falun Gong, and released with
the help from Canadian people and government.
During initial consultations strong interest in taking on this ground breaking
legal effort has been shown in three different provinces, by a number of
leading human rights lawyers and law firms.
“In China In the jurisdiction in which these crimes are committed, all legal
channels are blocked, the court system proceeds with show trials to wrongfully
criminalize Falun Gong practitioners. Chinese Citizens who have brought
lawsuits against Jiang Zemin have disappeared or have been victimized again. As
Canadian Citizens who suffered in the persecution, we are seeking Justice in
the Canadian courtroom”, said Professor Kunlun Zhang, who had been sent to
labor camp without trial in China, and was later released, thanks to the
Canada-wide appeal for him.
“Many Falun Gong practitioners in Canada and/or their family members in China
have suffered imprisonment, torture, brainwashing etc; two family members have
been killed. Practitioners in Canada are also targets of Jiang’s vicious
persecution tactics-- victims of his ‘incitement of hatred’”, said Dolnyckji.
“Our effort in Canada is part of the global efforts to Bring Jiang Zemin to
Justice.” “Many of us are willing to be plaintiffs”. “Legal complaints
against Jiang have been submitted to U.S. and Belgium courts, and United
Nations for genocide, crimes against humanity and torture”, states Mr.
Dolnyckji.
Background
Jiang Zemin is the leading architect of the violent repression that destroyed
millions of lives in the four-year long large-scale, systematic, and horrific
persecution and killing of innocent Falun Gong practitioners in China. Jiang
Zemin adopted the policy of "defaming their reputation, bankrupting them
financially, and destroying them physically" against practitioners of Falun
Gong. Although Jiang stepped down in March, he still wields control over the
military and the illegal “610 Office” which operates above all levels of
government and the law in order to persecute Falun Gong.

Background: Legal Actions Against Jiang Zemin Around the World
To restore justice to society, we are launching lawsuits against the former
leader of China, Jiang Zemin, and others in his group.
United States: In October 2002, Falun Gong practitioners and their families
filed a lawsuit in the Northern District Court of Illinois against Jiang and
China’s “610 Office”, the institution responsible for carrying out the
campaign of terror to eradicate Falun Gong, for torture, genocide and other
crimes against humanity. The case has been active since being accepted by the
court. On June 11, the court accepted a brief of Amicus Curiae signed by
several dozen members of the U.S. Congress requesting the court to proceed with
the lawsuit.
In the United States, five such lawsuits against high-ranking Chinese officials
or government bodies for their roles in persecuting Falun Gong have been filed.
Two of these lawsuits have already seen judgments in favor of Falun Gong.
Belgium: On August 20, 2003 a criminal lawsuit charging the former Chinese
Communist leader, Jiang Zemin and two of his senior aides with the crimes of
genocide, crimes against humanity and state directed torture, was submitted to
federal prosecutors by practitioners of Falun Gong and their lawyer, Mr.
Georges-Henri Beauthier. Two of Jiang's senior-most accomplices, Luo Gan and Li
Lanqing (the head of the "610 office") are named in the lawsuit.
Mr. Beauthier brought the first successful case under Belgium’s human rights
law against two individuals for their roles in the Rwandan genocide of 1994.
France: In July 2003, a criminal court in Paris began legal proceedings in a
lawsuit charging the former Vice-Premier of China, Lanqing Li, with crimes of
torture. Mr. William Bourdon, one of the lawyers responsible for the trials
against Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet, has taken on the case. An examining
magistrate in Paris has been assigned. The complaint is based on the United
Nations Convention Against Torture. As a signatory, French Courts are
authorized to hear cases, which allege violation of its terms.
Australia: World-renowned Lawyer and Human Rights Advocate Geoffrey Robertson
QC is working together with famous Australian human rights lawyers Chris Nyst
and Jason Murakami, to help Australian citizen Ms. Cuiying Zhang, a survivor of
torture, file a lawsuit at the UN against Jiang Zemin, the former leader of
China. Mr. Robertson is currently the president of the United Nations Special
Court in Sierra Leone. He also participated in the court work of trying former
Yugoslavian president Milosevic.
In addition, a landmark “class action” case is also being prepared for the
Australian Federal Court.
Switzerland: In March 2003, Mr. Philip Grant, president of Switzerland-based
international NGO Track Impunity Always and legal counsel representing Falun
Gong practitioners announced plans to sue Jiang Zemin for torture, genocide,
and other crimes against humanity. Jiang will face formal legal litigation if
he enters Switzerland.
加拿大法功准起江民
渥太-加拿大法大法信息中心9月4日：加拿大起的江行正在全范迅猛推。著加拿大律界千律收到加拿大法大法于起江的有材料后，已有多名深律表示希望能接手此案。
具理中方面的加拿大西部的一家律行，特是在看完真相光、深入了解了江民迫害法功真相后，非常希望接手此案，并一步表示：“如果能接手起江民的案子，是我律行的巨大幸。”
曾多次和接触的加拿大中部的一名著名人律也表示做控方律的烈意愿。他加拿大法大法提出了多方面制止迫害的建，并指出了在加拿大起的有法律依据。
加拿大部的一名律，在含著水听完了江民用力，人性地、系迫害法功的述和身后，：“真、善、忍”是人的本性，江民直就是希特勒。他表示：即使不能直接与法律，他也愿意成直接接手江案律()的智囊。
江民注力在全建“6-10”恐怖，系地法功推行“名上搞臭、上搞垮、肉上消”等一系列政策，法功人性的迫害中所使用的邪手段，集古今中外之大全。
“江民的迫害完全是建立在言的基上。迫害毒害了多人士，包括加拿大人。言、陷、和暴力摧著人的良知、肆忌地踏著人法律。把江送上判台，是我容的任。”加拿大法大法代表(Zenon
Dolnyckyj)先生接著指出：“中司法部法功，反而成踏法律的地方。不所有的法律渠道全部封住，而且准起者遭受著架等复。作受迫害的加拿大居民，我在加拿大法律、匡扶正。”
很多加拿大或在中的家受到禁、洗和酷刑等折磨，其中名的人在中被迫害致死。包括王玉芝女士、昆教授、林慎立先生、李宇女士在的多名受害者准起。
去年10月美起江民后，比利于今年8月江又以“反人罪”和“群罪”提起刑事，引起社泛注。法功相在瑞士、澳大利、英、加拿大、德等宣布准在本起江，示法功全球各地求法律手段起江民的行成。
其他与迫害法功、被告上法庭的中共官如湖北公安副兼610公室副目志、前北京市市淇、宁省副省夏得仁已被美法院宣判有罪。
