Hello Everyone,
I would like to follow up with a message on how to access and use these
manuals. In our meeting last night, I gave a brief overview of what I did and
how you can access them - but in reviewing again this morning, it looks like
my access directions were inaccurate. Using THIS LINK, you should be able to
open Google drive and view the folder containing the Advanced Manuals. If you
are unable, please let me know. You may also log in to Google Drive (if you
have a gmail address) and select "shared with me" on the left menu ribbon:

Within this folder will be a series of other folders labeled after the titles
of each manual. Within the folders are labeled projects and appendix
contents. For example, selecting "8. Special Occasion Speeches"...

... you will see this:

The PDF titled 'Special Occasion Speeches Manual' will bring you to the cover
sheet, introduction, and table of contents. All other PDFs will be individual
projects, consisting of the project outline, objectives, and evaluation
forms. This will allow you to download and print each project individually.
There is also a bit of information within the appendices (and sometimes
necessary information to help you with a project) that you may choose to
print or reference if you choose.
The intention was to upload ONE document with every project bookmarked or
attached, but alas, I was unable to execute that with Drive.
And, a reminder to us all, this effort to preserve the Advanced Manuals is to
improve your abilities as speakers and leaders. These manuals and their
contents may exist in pathways in some form, or they may not. They all
contain very helpful information to elevate your abilities in a way that
suits YOUR needs. You will not be awarded by Toastmasters International (TI)
for the completion of any of these manuals, and you can not "transfer" what
you've learned for pathways credit. But do not let the lack of credit
discourage you from giving these a try! There are some very interesting and
challenging projects in here that I think we could all benefit from as
speakers, evaluators, and audience members.
And, once more, here is the link to the location. Please let me know if you
have any questions or access issues.
Dirk and Ray - I will have the binder back to you by next week. I have 4 more
manuals to go, then all should be uploaded successfully. Again, if you would
like to share with FRTM, please feel free to do so with the link I provided.
The more the merrier.
Thanks again - and enjoy,
Amanda
