Subject: contest winners
Hello Toastmasters: Just a reminder, the Area contest is coming up quickly,
April 7th. I need to have club contest winners and contact information ASAP.
You can use the notification form (attached), or simply email me back with
names for each contest and their contact information.
Remember Area E6 clubs can send top two contestants to Area contest because
your area has only 4 clubs. Area E7 clubs can only send one contestant for each
contest (Table Topics and International Speech) because E7 has 5 clubs in it.
We need the names to put in the contest program and to assist the chief judge
and contest toastmaster in preparing for the contest.
For your contestants: Also attached are eligibility forms and profile forms.
Print and distribute to those advancing to the Area contest. This will simplify
their lives on contest day. If possible, forms can be rescanned, once signed,
and then emailed back to me. Another alternative is for contestants to bring
them along to the contest. We will have blank forms available on contest day
but they have to be completed, so urge contestants to 'get 'er done' and
complete forms now!
Finally, We are still recruiting help for the contest. We would really like
participation from all clubs in Areas E6 and E7. This helps make a fair contest
when we have judges, ballot counters and timers from various clubs. Please
consider volunteering yourself, while you come to support your contestants.
Announce the roles in your club meetings also and encourage participation. If
any participants need leadership credit, I will happily evaluate and sign for
them! It is a great experience for people to volunteer and it is a great
encouragement for speakers to look out and see fellow club members there to
