You caught me doing dinner for the family. I'll respond in the AM if that is OK.TomAlways OK, Tom! Thanks for you hand-holding up to now.I forged ahead and fired everything up...The options for ASSP are mind-boggling, but I just received my first email after it passed greylisting!I only have a couple of issues: -- Proper preferences for EIMS -- Saw these log errors in ASSP: Jul-12-10 06:13:11 Error: orderedtie is unable to write to /applications/assp/pb/pbdb.black.db - Permission denied; Jul-12-10 06:13:12 PenaltyBox: cleaning BlackBox finished; before=13609, deleted=13609; Jul-12-10 06:13:12 Saving penalty records; Jul-12-10 06:13:12 Error: orderedtie is unable to write to /applications/assp/pb/pbdb.black.db - Permission denied; Jul-12-10 06:13:12 Error: orderedtie is unable to write to /applications/assp/pb/pbdb.trap.db - Permission denied; Not sure if this is benign? Also, I'm having some problems with ClamAv...not sure if it's actually running or not. I'm getting an error:"Can't initialize the internal logger" "Can't open /var/log/cloamav/clamd.log in append mode (check permissions!)."(I've googled the error, but not sure what the problem is...anyone overcome it?)Clamscan runs properly, but how can I tell if ASSP and ClamAV are hooked up properly?
" Permission denied;" is a permissions error. I have a script to fix this or you can just chmod 0777 on all the offending files.
Hopefully "/var/log/cloamav/clamd.log" is a typo. This is also a permissions error. /var/log/clamav/clamd.log should be owned by _clamav
As for checking if clamav and ASSP are working together just use ASSP GUI and click Info and Stats and click PERL Modules.
