Did you download and install clamav from http://www.oitc.com/ctw/clamav
You need to have clamav and the clamav perl module installed

Just to be thorough and got:
cpan> upgrade all modules
Unknown command 'upgrade'. Type ? for help.
I looked in usr/local and it all looks there but looking in the OS X
log shows this error:

posix_spawnp("/usr/local/sbin/clamd", ...): Bad CPU type in
executable
ASSP itself is running great.
