Subject: [cst_2014_board] A Few Items
First, all apologies for dropping off this last week. My sister blew into
town last Thursday and we worked to deal with the last few tangible items of
my parents estate. After reviewing what was probably close to 10,000
photos, we've selected 2,300 to be digitized to share with the family. Also,
some paperwork and some letters between my dad and mom over the years. My
sister exhausts me, but thank goodness she's has the energy to work on this
all the time to close out the estate.
I hope that those of you on spring break are enjoying your time off.
Trish has graciously accepted the position of Activities Coordinator!
Dan has graciously accepted the position of Outward Parent Liaison!
I have asked Trish to see if she can come up with a better name for our
group than Collindale Swim Team Parent Committee. CSTPC just doesn't have
much of a ring to it!
I've edited the Coach Responsibilities (by adding Have Fun!)
I've edited the Collindale Parent Committee Responsibilities - by adding
each of our names next to the positions we've accepted - and by adding a few
more positions - namely Merchandising, Equipment and Communications
Managers. Carol has already accepted Merchandising, but if you know someone
you can convince to bee the Equipment, Communications, and Inward Parent
Liaisons managers please try to get them on board. If we can't get
individuals for those positions, then the onus will fall to us. Of course,
I think we all realize that our positions are fluid, and are ready to fill
in as necessary if someone else cannot do the task at the moment.
I'll put both of those documents in the drop-box - removing the old ones.
I took Audrey down to MI Sports with me on Tuesday to try on the female suit
we've selected for the team. It was suggested that it be tried on before
ordering because sometimes the cut-out in the back could be immodest. After
trying it on, both Audrey and I deemed it suitable so the order has gone in.
I've been communicating with Carol while she is gone - and she knows that
the order has now been placed.
John and Marlene, if there have been no additional edits to the letter,
please send that out. I would suggest you include the names of the
positions filled to show this has been a group effort and to show a unified
group of parents. Please be sure to not include any information about costs
until we nail that down more. You may also want to include an opportunity
for families to indicate whether they plan to return to the team and how
many swimmers their family brings.
I've got on my calendar to attend the Horsetooth League Meet on the 9th. Do
you think will we have a coach selected by then? Also, we've agreed on the
parent meeting to take place on Tuesday May 13th with MI Sports in
attendance with a rain date for Tuesday May 20th.
We meet this Monday the 24th at Lisa Hubert's home. I will put out an
agenda on Sunday. If you have something specific you remember needs to be
on the agenda, please let me know.
Is there anything I'm forgetting??? (surly there is a lot)
