Dear colleague, The Cansmart Group is very pleased to announce that once again IOP, the Publisher of Smart Materials and Structures is sponsoring the best student paper for Cansmart 2013. The International Workshop on Smart Materials and Structures, SHM and NDT for the Energy Industry, in conjunction with NDT in Canada 2013 Conference, will be held Oct 7 – 10, 2013 in Coast Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. **************************** IOP Best Student Paper Award Criteria The Best Student Paper Award, sponsored by the IOP Journal of Smart Materials and Structures<http://www.iop.org/EJ/journal/0964-1726/1> consist of a Certificate and $ 250 dollars. A Committee of three members will review the submissions based on the following criteria: 1) The first author of the paper should be a student. 2) Since the Cansmart Workshop has a special format of presentations: oral or poster, either format of presentation will be considered for the Award. (The oral presentation consists of a 20 minute presentation; while the poster presentation consists of 5 minutes of oral presentation and a displayed poster during the 2 days of the meeting.
