Hi Marjorie,
Welcome home.
I'm in Boston for the weekend so I can't attend the demonstration.

Protest Sunday, July 17, 2d anniversary of police murder of Eric Garner. Meet
at 4 p.m. outside Staten Island Ferry Terminal in Manhattan.
This summer has once again seen a rash of racist cop murders of unarmed
African Americans. Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana executed on July
5 while pinned on the ground, captured on a cellphone video. The police
assassination of Philando Castile on July 6 in a traffic stop for a broken
taillight in St. Paul, Minnesota, broadcast live on Facebook. A year ago
there was the case of Sandra Bland, who was pulled over by a Texas state
trooper and died in jail. The list goes on and on.
Sunday marks the second anniversary of the racist police murder of Eric
Garner. While the killer cops who choked him to death go free, a protest has
been called by his daughter, Erica, to demand justice. Class Struggle
Education Workers, the Internationalist Group and the Internationalist Clubs
at the City University will be there calling to mobilize the power of the
workers movement to stop police terror.
Join with us at the protest on the anniversary of the wanton killing of Eric
Garner by the NYPD. Meet outside the entrance to Staten Island Ferry Terminal
in Manhattan at 4 p.m., Sunday, July 17, to go together on the ferry to the
protest outside the terminal on the Staten Island side (1 Bay Street)
starting at 5 p.m. Nearby subway stops: Bowling Green on the 4 and 5 lines
(only from Manhattan on the weekend); South Ferry on the 1 line (only from
Manhattan); Whitehall/South Ferry on the R line.
