Bill Gates, Andrew Cuomo -- lethal combo. Gates' was responsible for
closing the comprehensive high schools, and opening the "small schools" in
their place, a union-busting boon-doggle for administrators,  aimed at
breaking the feisty, UFT high-school division, championing Common Core and
more.  Cuomo wants tech to produce more "equitable" online edu which will
redesign the "public' out of public education.  Schools are critical center
for immigrants, working class kids and the poor, to say nothing of the
140,000 homeless kids in New York, where school is their family- breakfast,
lunch, health services, clothing, counseling, parent support, immigration
rights services.  Bad news.   And I think it will be supported by the likes
of M.O.R.E. and its soggy campaign for more "equitable on-line education."
An oxymoron.
