Interesting article...if true...based on Russian Infowars conducted
against US and UK governments etc.,by someone who worked in it for a
while until he got dismissed by a Russian media organisation called
Sputnik. The author discusses and mentions the methods and procedures
and priorities that the likes of RT and various other Russian state
media organisations operating in the USA and the areas, stories and
disinformation in which they are interested. RT online is one of my
sources of news and information, amongst many others. It is not that I
believe in anything or everything it says, even though the indefatigable
George Galloway and ex Leader of the SNP Alex Salmond does articles and
programmes for it; no more than I would believe US media or cultural or
heritage organisations, such as the Peace Corps and such like; or the
British Council and various offshoots of the BBC World service, or even
the independence of the BBC itself. The only difference presumably is
some of ours are privatised and not agents of a foreign state, while
Russian ones are:-). The point is to cover as many news outlets as one
can to get different points of view, interpretations and political,
economic, social, psychological and cultural opinions and views, so that
one can compare the like with the unlike...to paraphrase Facebook, which
is not a media publishing organisation by the way, but a social
platform. By calling itself that, it apparently can avoid certain civil
rights and legal responsibilities which are attached to the media to
protect the privacy or human rights on the individual.
