jamming is a great privacy enabler; look for "infra red camera jamming".

note that jamming RF frequencies may run afoul of laws, while visible
spectrum (including IR) is often allowed in any circumstance.

also note that this technique of injecting bogus information into a
surveillance system carries over to any medium, whether it is skewing
metadata or blinding travel patterns, the general technique of
"jamming the observer" is broadly applicable and highly recommended!
