Hi Haim,
Tx for the information. I was very interested in the Litvinenko public
enquiry, though it took an awful long time for the British State to organise
it...and an even longer time to read it...:-(

There has been a number of Russian ex expatriates who have died in somewhat
mysterious circumstances in the UK of late, stretching the bounds of
co-incidence somewhat. I think someone in the Labour Party mentioned somewhere
around 14 people who have died for various reasons...suicide, falling onto
railings, drowning in the bath; car accidents; and even being stabbed with an
umbrella, that very English symbol of middle class respectability and fortitude
as it walks its way across London Bridge, protecting the civil servant on
his/her way to work. from the pouring rain, though unfortunately, not the wind
over the Thames.

Intelligence officials, agencies and secret and security services are not
amongst my favourite people or organisations, as you will probably have
gathered. This is because, not only the homely ones, but those who belong to
and are operated by nation states throughout the world, have the very bad habit
of believing their own propaganda and deception skills, and then expecting the
rest of us to believe in it too. I am too long in the tooth to treat their
emanations and perambulations with anything else other than a dubious belief
and illogical logic. Still, one is always prepared to give people the benefit
of the doubt, and I am sure that most of my fellow human beings are full of
goodwill and good intentions to everyone else in the world...including
myself...:-)
At our expense and suffering of course...:-)

P.S It took about 10 years to get a public enquiry into the Litvenko affair,
our present Prime Minister was Home Secretary at the time. Why so long? After
all, it was a strictly Russian affair, which didn't really involve our home
grown security forces....:-) The fact that there was a Polonium trail left all
over the crime scene here in the UK which took some interesting turns and
visitations, obviously left our lot in the clear...and dropped the Russians in
the bullcrap. So, why the huge amount of time between the incident occurring
and the outcome? Us British Citizens do expect the Home Secretary and the
Prime Minister and the Intelligence, Security and Secret Services and their
associated departments of state and law enforcement, to protect our interests
and prevent such criminal incidents from happening in the first place. Now,
one realises that the realisation of such a plan is not always possible, but to
wait for 10 years before having the ability of drawing the necessary
conclusions for the future protection of our citizenry demands quick action, so
that the appropriate and proportionate lessons can be learned and actions
taken...Still, who am I...:-)

The story continues, rumours and speculation are rife. We still don't
know which nerve agent was used or by whom, or where it came from. The
three people suffering from its after effects are still in hospital,
suffering severe illness, the policeman improving. Those kind of
people who use such tactics against human beings are despicable and
sick. They always go for family members too, the greater the fear, the
greater the example. The perpetrators too, have families, but they
never seem to stop and think that they may be foist by their own petard
at some stage in their crazy game.
