I see that Alex Salmond, ex First Minister of Scotland and Scottish MP.,
has taken a job working for a Russian Agent. He has become an
independent show presenter on R.T. Editorial independence guaranteed,
every Thursday 8 p.m. Lots of criticism. Personally, I think it is up
to him...and I think he will be quite good at it.:-)...just as that
other Scotsman, the one who smoked Cuban cigars when he was interrogated
by a US Senate Committee, and who found Saddam Hussein "indefatigable",
George Galloway, whatever indefatigable means. I wonder if Alex
Salmond will be allowed to criticise Donald Trump...perish the
thought...or use his cutting wit on Vladimir Putin...:-)
By the way, I am one of the few who thinks that RT as an "independent"
television broadcaster does just as good a job as any other broadcaster
in the western world. It has its biases, of course but so do the rest,
and I have found out quite a lot about what is going on in the world,
which never seems to get picked up or dwelt upon in the rest of the
western media. He who pays the piper calls the tune, as they say in
Scotland. Al Jazeera is quite good too on the Middle East, and gives a
different version and interpretation of world news, as it affects the
Arab World; so much so that certain Middle Eastern Countries, such as
Saudi Arabia and Egypt, backed by the USA of course, wants to get it
banned. Interestingly enough one of the biggest US bases in the world is
in Qatar, where the broadcaster is based.
I also noticed today, that when I googled Google...or is it Googled,
Google, or googled Google, with the following keywords, "Russia Today:
Alex Salmond" "RT Alex Salmond", and many variations of above, I
couldn't get to RT, all I got was the criticism of RT, and Alex Salmond,
and let me tell you it was enormous. I wonder if it was the same fake
news on Twitter and Facebook, with lots of state and privately paid bots
hard at work interfering with the news.
I had to use other means...like use www.rt.com to get there. Weird, is
the rest of the western media or Google trying to make it into a secret
Russian agent...one wonders...:-)
