to see some of the technical discussion and the theory and practice behind it
and a look at some of the problems with setting it up and getting it to work in
the right way.
Basically. The Pursuance Project, is a world wide web, internet and network
based project, whose aim is to allow activists, journalists, organisations and
institutions and individual change merchants of any kind and variety who are
from any nation to pursue any particular interest, hobby or activity in which
they are interested and which they can do on their own, or share it along with
others who have the same interests or aims as they have.
It not only includes and uses human beings, but uses the latest software which
is encrypted with the best encryption available, and, working with the likes of
TOR, allows people to communicate as individuals or groups with other groups
and individuals as securely, anonymously and efficiently as possible, allowing
the sharing of ideas and activities with only those people who are willing to
work constructively in gathering data, researching information, turning that
information into knowledge which is suited to the activity and storing,
collating and sharing that knowledge with others who are interested in the same
kind of aims, with the idea of using such information to develop knowledge and
advance society and educate more and more people into the problems which exist
in our world today and to develop schemes which may overcome at least some of
them.
In a word:
Pursuance makes the collaborative efforts of all kinds of decentralized groups
more effective.
To become involved, or if you are just interested in finding out more, then go
to the website and subscribe. There is no commitment and you can unsubscribe
at any time.
Two of the people involved in the project are Barrett Brown and Steve Miller.
In my next few thoughts, I will be looking at the philosophy, the concepts and
aims and the structure of it, and some of the problems with it which I have
reservations about. Please feel free to contribute your thoughts and
ideas...:-)
