Better everything.  Basically in the past the game would only check your
position/status every 300ms.  So if you're in an AoE that lasts 500ms, and
you exit it after 350 ms, you'll get hit regardless of where you are
onscreen because when the server checked, you were still in there (the next
check would only be at 600ms).  Same with things like heals etc.  If you
couple your ping time (200+ ms for us), it's easy to see why dodging some
AoEs on reaction was nigh impossible (like Moldy Phlegm in WP, Fire Water
in Darkhold etc).  The game would also let you cast spells on dead chars
because it didn't update their status in time.  They also removed the
hitbox checks for AoEs.  As long as your char's center is out of the AoE in
time for the server check, you wouldn't get it.
