DC banked way too heavily on Bats vs. Supes. It wasn’t a terrible film
(especially the uncut/director version). I’d put it happily on a par with

The problem is that Mahvel, even when it’s half-arsed (Thor1, Guardians2), it’s
pretty watchable. From time to time they do a really good job (Cap’n,
Ragnarok). On the DC side, they can’t do half-arsed or humorous. They go full
retard and either hit it out the ballpark (Dark Knight), or fall flat. A few of
the Mahvel films have been garbage (IronMan2, Thor2), but people seem to forget
this pretty quickly.
I thought WW was really cool.
Haven’t seen Black Panther.

It most certainly is.
I recently watched Annihilation and, to be honest, I didn't really enjoy it. I
think the pacing of the movie had a lot to do with it.
However, I wasn't aware that it was based on a novel by Jeff VanderMeer. I like
to read excerpts from books that I haven't read yet and the way this guy writes
is nothing short of phenomenal. I need to get my hands on this book. Has anyone
here read it?
