Read something quite disturbing yesterday. Apparently in the USA, the
police are under no obligation to protect individuals from harm. *even
though their priority is to serve and protect. *In other words, a police
officer can watch you get stabbed to death and he is not required by law to
do anything. There's a famous case about this that happened in 2011 in New
York.
I have no idea what the status quo is in South Africa.
