First few eps Star Trek Discovery and The Orville is out... seen 2 and 3
eps respectively.
While discovery looks good as well its sad a Seth MacFarlane "joke"
series is the better Star Trek show than the new Star Trek so far.

The Turnspit dog was a short-legged, long-bodied dog bred to run on a
wheel, called a turnspit or dog wheel, to turn meat. The type is now
extinct.
Sounds like they were used as hamsters and foot warmers.
Turnspits were described as "long-bodied, crooked-legged and ugly dogs,
with a suspicious, unhappy look about them”
