The tutorial in W2 is completely optional and you can just skip it.
It was added long after the game was released due to people complaining about
it being absent.

and then when you get to the end of the tutorial, they give you a final test,
where you need to defeat 3 waves of enemies.
I couldn't defeat the first wave and then I was made to feel like an idiot when
im presented with the option of playing the game on easy because of my poor
performance in the tutorial.

Strangely enough, I agree with you. I left that there was information overload
in W2’s tutorial. A lot of it is wasted as you just figure it out as you go
along. Tried to tell me everything and I just landed up ignoring most of it.

the tutorial is too much, too much information from the start.
usually games will give you what you need to progress and then add things as
you go along.
in W2, seems like they throw you with everything at once and say tsek, go play.

Pretty sure that there is a mod nexus for ME1. It’s only got something like 3
mods on it. One of them is to scale up the game. Get it. Looks much better.
You don’t really need one for ME2.
