The April-September 1955 CPR system PTT is reprinted in the well-
known "Abbey to Zorra..." book. No train times shown for the "Red
Wing" @ West Burke as it didn't make a station stop there. At St.J the
times were 2358 s/b and 0349 n/b. Note that the specific TT for this
train simply says "Eastern Time" so I'm assuming one has to add an
hour for Eastern Daylight Time. I don't know about the CPR but TTs of
the era were quite variable in using Daylight Time as I'm not sure
that the use of Daylight Time by the public was quite as ubiquitous
and mandatory as it is now. I know B&M ETTs in 1953 used Standard Time
year 'round while their PTTs displayed Daylight Time when appropriate
for the convenience of the traveling public. I guess it made sense
operationally for the railroad as they didn't have to reset their
standard clocks twice a year. Personally I find DT a nuisance I could
live without.
