Actually, Fred, it turns out the B&M and CNR cars were different even
though built to the same Pullman Plan number (4046). An examination
of the floorplan drawing for that plan indicated that the aisle
windows opposite the bedrooms could vary and photos confirm they were
indeed different. Your sides match the B&M cars, not the CNR ones. It
is worth noting that the CNR folio drawing for these cars as
reproduced in the Lepkey and West book contains numerous errors and
cannot be used as a reliable reference for the correct window layout
for these cars.
Still unknown to me at this time is whether the cars that went to the
other four U.S. roads (CB&Q, C&NW, WAB, UP) were similar to the B&M
or CNR cars.
Since this is a CPR forum I should note that this is important
because the B&M cars were regulars for many years on the CPR-B&M "Red
Wing" between Montreal and Boston.
