ahh, I wish I had Peter. I went, I measured and took photos, and I
missed/forgot a few key details . . . . . Such is the way of vacation
prototype vintage equipment hunting.

You might have already done this, but if you or someone is close to the car, it
should have the original number stamped and/or crossed out (Stamped with an X
or other stamp) and the new number enbossed nearby on the frame. Some cars are
excessively stamped or ground out making original number unreadable.
