Sure David. I would be happy to help you with the scrapping dates. I have
full info. on all of the CP steamers, particularly the later ones here in the
west. I should add, that while Omer Lavallee did put out a wonderful book,
there were quite a few mistakes in it. I certainly don't have a full list of
the errors, but can advise you of the ones I know of. Please contact me off

Hi,
I'm looking for a source of the dates that various steam locomotives were
scrapped, so that I can decide what era my railway is to end up.
I have done some searching in the messages and found one that listed some
Selkirk dates and it mentioned that the information was from 'Omers Book'.
I have now determined that this is the book 'Canadian Pacific Steam
Locomotives' by Omer Lavellee.
Could someone who has this book please confirm that there are lists of one
sort or another that gives this type of information for each loco in each class.
I would try and buy a copy, but at what seems to be the 'going' price of $450
US, I'm not sure that I can afford to.
Would any member would be willing to help me if I give the loco numbers?
