yes & sort of - the name was Mountaineer in summer and Soo-Dominion the rest
of the year.
- this topic was covered in some detail a little while ago - though perhaps
not suitable to the era you want to know about. So I'd like to suggest that
you search the list archives re "Soo", "Dominion" & "Mountaineer" if your
interest is from the 30's through early 50's. If later, then it would be
useful to know when, as the train changed from time to time.

Does anyone have any information about the car consists of the Soo
Dominion that ran from Moose Jaw to St. Paul, Mn? Was this part of the
Mountaineer? Robert Sandusky took a picture of this train at Weyburn, SK
in May 1965. The picture is an long 1:00 shoot so it is not possible to
see the number on the 2200 series smoothside coach at the end. Robert
recalls the 2 baggage cars in the consist were Soo Line.
I rode this train on several occasions before the passenger service was
discontinued in late 1966.
