I can understand why; it really is a beautiful train. Unfortunately, no plans
for the cars are available publicly.(that I know of, anyway) The only drawings
I am aware of reside in the CPR company archives, and there are surprisingly
few of them. There are, however, several photos available on the internet. As
usual, Wilco's excellent site at www.mountainrailway.com has the best
selection. Look in the rolling stock gallery under passenger equipment.
The newer cars are run in addition to the original five, not in place of. If
anything, this would increase the train's capacity, although I remember reading
something about the number of passengers being capped at 23 in order to
preserve a high service staff to guest ratio.

Power is GP38-2 CP 3084, which wears the tuscan & grey paint scheme.
Since the demise of the 1401 this spring it has been accompanied
second GP38; they haven't really made any effort to keep thesame one
but it is usually one of the newer rebuilds so at least it lookshalf> decent. Starting next spring, the new F units CP 4106 & CP
4107 should
be permanent fixtures on the train.
They have also been using some of the company's other business cars
(Mount Royal is one, Assiniboine has been used as well) on certain
occasions, although they are not permanent additions to the train.
