Early photo's of the Wetaskiwin station ca.1920 suggest the same paint
scheme as Mission.

But is the building red or white? Maybe each station had it's own
character? The one that used to be in Mission, BC was mostly
cream colored with red trim and supports. Then there's the brick one
in Lethbridge, Alberta, red of course now used as a health
centre;-) Some time when I get up that way, I'll certainly have a
look.
Thanks.

Hi Doug,
Thanks for the info. I had a look at those sites and it looks like
the folks at the campground repainted the station back to it's
fifties
era colors, red with a lighter colored trim, window, doors, etc.
therejob of it too!
I thought it was white but it could be cream. I have to go out
thetomorrow anyways to finish measuring it up so I'll know for
sure if it is in fact white or cream.
Thanks again.

Hello Allancream window
Many CP stations of the fifties would have been a dark red, with
sash. Originally the corner posts, door frames and similar trimitems would
have been a darker reddish brown, but some repaint jobs didn'talways maintain
this scheme. Sometimes the gable ends would also be cream.Shaw's site:
One place you can look at a sample picture is:

It's a little easier to see the trim on a couple of shots at Dave
then under CP

Go to the galleries and look under Canadian Stations at Elko.jpg;
colour diesels at CPCD10.
Hope this helps!

Hi folks,
What paint color would the original CPR passenger stations(wood
structure) have been in the 1950's? Would it have been white
with black trim or red with white trim?
I found the old CPR Station from Abbotsford, BC stuck out in
paintedmiddle of the bush being used as a campground office and it's
red and white. I think it was build originally on it's site in
Abbotsford around 1911.
Thanks
