I'm not sure about CP contracting out the local delivery except to note that
Smith Transport did so for CP at least in the east. If you check out Richard
Yaremko's latest book there is a shot on page 12 of Smith unloading CP
trailers in Montreal. Smith was bought out by CP in the early 1960s. The
tractors in the photo include a White Super Power (in the background) and a
White 9000 (identical to the 4000 but with a shorter hood) on the ramp. We
will be bringing out the White 9000 later.
Clare Gilbert
Sylvan Scale Models
Hello Richard,
Clare Gilbert, of Sylvan Models is working on some Tractors for
those bemoaning the lack of some North American trucks. He is working
on a series of trucks to be released at the NMRA National in Toronto
in July.
They include the White Super Power (WC-22), a White 4000,
GMC 620 and Chevy 5700 COE.
When I was at the Copetown Show earlier this year he showed me
some of his pilot models. He put his 1940s & 50s White Super Power
(WC-22) (did I get it right this time) under one of our tailers, it
was something to see.

I have several kits from Greg's Garage that may be suitable.

51-54 Reo F50
52-64 International
From Grand River Car Shops
46-47 Dodge Van that I could use the cab and part chassis from.

Any information would be appreciated.
