I couldn't get to the photograph from your link, but I went in NERail and
found a picture of CP 434914 which I am assuming is the caboose that you are
interested in modelling. This appears to me to be a very rare style of
caboose. It is a centre cupola caboose that retains it's original cupola but
appears to have an underslung generator. Although underslung generators were
fitted to most of the wide vision cabooses, all the older style cabooses that
I have seen (except this one) have the generator located inside the carbody.
The exception to that would be the centre cupola cabooses that were modified
into wide vision cabooses. Most (?) of them have underslung generators. One
notable exception is CP 434109 which had a generator inside the carbody. I
would be interested to know the previous number that this caboose had. The
434900 series were on all cabooses used for international service. As you
can see in the picture, a centre mounted red marker light was applied as our
American friends require it for operation in the USA. Aparently the CP
corner lights are not good enough!
All this doesn't help you much, but you certainly did pick a rare prototype
to model!
