Not sure there were any 'through' passenger trains in Toronto during the 50's.
Toronto was a major terminus for both CN and CP and eachhad their own large
passenger yards. CN's was immediately west of the Spadina Rd overpass (south
side of tracks) while CP's was southeast of the John St roundhouse. I believe
cars were iced in the yards prior to being moved to the station for their
'run'. People would change trains at the Union Station if travelling through.

I'm looking for the footprint of the 20000 gal enclosed water tank - distance
between parallel sides would do. Someone mentioned that Mainline Modeler Oct
1996 had plans, so if anyone has that issue and could make a quick measurement
I'd appreciate it.
Drawing W-15-21 page 1 says 23’2” to outside walls.
Drawings for the 20k gal water tower is in our Document Library www.cptracks.
