It seems that in the eastern part of Canada they call a caboose a Van, but
in western Canada many railroad employees call a Caboose a Caboose and
I’ve lived in the both the west and east and I’ve heard van and caboose used
all over the place. I think there are pockets of areas that have their own
preferred terms and that’s all there is to it.
