Alas - H&D has joined the list of dead businesses. However, Chinook & Hobby
West, here
in Calgary, has some of the trucks in stock. You might also try Trains & Such
as well - both
have web sites with contact info!
Someone in Calgary did purchase the remaining H&D stock, but I don't remember
who. I
think Rob Gale at Chinook would know.

I'm hoping that someone in the Calgary area might be able to assist with
answers to some questions. Eleven years ago I was contacted by a fellow who had
a hobby business in Calgary operating under the name of H & D Hobby
Distributiing, Ltd. I believe the fellow's name was Hans Madsen but am working
from memory here, In any case, he had tooling made to produce trucks for which
the journal box cover was separately applied. I believe the idea was that
different styles of cover cold be applied. including perhaps one that looked
like the standard bearing journal had been replaced with a roller bearing
having no cover for the box but could easily be worng on this. In any case, is
this business or this man still around? Have any other items been offered? Any
assistance would be appreciated.
