So far as I know, the CPR did not specify tenders by class, but rather by
capacity. It was not unknown for CPR locomotives of a specific class to have
tenders of differing capacity. But, for sure, to the best of my knowledge, it
was never a case of a CPR Class N2 locomotive with a Class MT tender.

Dunno if the CPR did use tender "classes" but many railway companies did.
