Fro0m information I have, it appears these cars were rebuilds from an
earlier series - possibly a series built in 1929. Ian Cranstone lists them
(Seeries 30080-300899) as only atarting to show up in the ORERs from 1954
and onwards. The maximum number in the sereis appears in 10/57 - and then
only a total of 14 cars. They disappeared by 1976 from the ORERs. From
7/1955 thru 1/1959, they were listed as TOFC - early piggyback flats.
Just for your information Sereis 300600-799 were built in 1938, while series
300900-999 were built in 1929 -both of these series are 46' flats while the
series you're looking for is 42'5". Both of these seereis had fishbelly
sideframes .
My copy of CP's internal equipment list of 1956 lists the series 3200800-807
as definitely being built in 1929, use "For Highway Trailers" , of steel
consstruction, and none with AB brakes (all 'K' brakes). Their Lt. Wt. is
listed as 37,000 lbs, and a capacity of 80000lbs.
