Hello John:
It was a pleasure to meet you at Copetown. I do not have any of the
coach photos you are looking for. I do have some action pics of the
Alouette around Montreal but none showing the cars clearly. I do have
some pics of the Ambassador, a couple or so in Vermont and others
in Canada.
Regards, Al

Jacob Klerman and others have posted considerable information concerning
the CNR and CPR passenger equipment running in joint service with the B&M
(Boston-Montreal) and New Haven/PRR (NYC-Washington).
If anybody on the list is willing to share photos, I'd like to get prints of
the following:
- CNR Cafe-Grill Cars Nos. 423 & 424 anywhere but especially in
Boston-Montreal service on "The Ambassador"; looking for photos
of both sides, ends, roof and underbody; color shots would be
particularly desireable.
- CNR Buffet-Parlor cars No. 867 ("Lake Charlotte"); No. 868 ("Lac
Montigny"); No. 871 ("Lake Erie"); and No. 872 ("Lake Huron"). Looking
same kind of pix as for 423-424.
- Any other CNR run-through equipment in Boston-Montreal service.
- CPR Parlor-Buffet-Observation cars 6610, 6611, 6612 or others of
that type particularly in "Alouette" service.
- Any other CPR equipment in Boston-Montreal service (combines,
coaches, parlor-buffets, "Cape" observations, and pre-Budd CPR
"turned under" smoothsides).
- Steam and diesel era photos of the CN and CPR trains, especially
those taken in New England settings.
Any help would be most appreciated. I will pay for prints and postage.
