And don't forget Car 27 was sold to the Thurso & Nation Valley Railway and is
beautifully preserved by the Bytown Railway Society:

The cars were district superintendent cars
and were assigned to those officials as their mobile offices to perform their
duties.
Here is a list of the reference material for
those cars.
RMC September 1999 has an article by John
Riddell on the cars. John included the car assignments.
CRHA Bulletin #19 has the business car
roster by Omer Lavallee.
CPHA CP Tracks issue 10-4 has a reprint of
the Bulletin article plus photographs
To more specifically answer your question,
most of the cars were scrapped or sold off in the late 1930s and mid 40s.
There were 4 cars left in service in the 1950s.
#19 assigned to Kootenay district and
wrecked 1956 by a slide
#21 assigned to Winnipeg district and scrapped 1958
#22 assigned to Neilson district and
scrapped 1962
#26 assigned to Vancouver district and scrapped in 1962

I've not been able to find very much information on
these cars, they are not mentioned in Abbey to Zorra or my other reference
books on the CPR.
Did any of them survive into the 1950's? Specifically, would any have been used
on the Laggan sub around 1950? Or at least Alberta? Any idea's of what their
numbers
would have been?
I'm modeling the area around Field in 1950 and wondered if I could
realistically have one of these cars. I suppose it could always be in transit
to or from Ogden
if they would have still been around in 1950.
