It is in the shop getting its usual winter working over. I saw it a few
weeks ago with steam dome, boiler washout plugs and various other parts
removed. No engine is serviceable until these have been put back. The
damaged driving axle has been replaced.

Subject: [cpsig] 2816 stored unserviceable
I just read in the March Branchline magazine that CPR's Empress steam
locomotive #2816 is listed as stored unserviceable. I don't remember
hearing anything of this prior to this.
