Hello,
I have made a couple of models of HDPG bridges. My first was a stand alone
scratch build of one of a group installed on the Havelock sub ca. 1910. They
can still be seen on the trail next to hwy 7 just west of Perth. Good subjects
for building because they are on 20’ long.
The second was for my layout. I used the Micro Engineering kit for a 50’ bridge
and used CPR drawings to modify the ends to the right curvature.
They would make good 3D printing subjects if you can reproduce the rivet
detail. Another similar project would be to produce smaller Armstrong
turntables such as the ubiquitous 70’ found in many areas in Ontario and
Quebec.
Good idea!

Has anyone ever produced a model of a CP half deck plate girder bridge? In
this area in Ontario, many short ones were all over the place. Would make a
good subject for 3D printing maybe?

Hey Gang
The above issue arrived this afternoon. It's a great one.
Peter Winterton has pulled together with his team a varied
and interesting issue.
The Article by Kevin Holland on the Empresses is enlightening,
however the next one on the Barge Slips is by Robert D. Turner.
A reverse role if I ever heard of one. His books on the Empresses
and Pacific Princess' are two of my favorites.
