I don't know or have much on this service, but an April 30, 1950
Folder C public timetable for the Prairie and Pacific Regions shows
an add for this service at p.19. It reads:
STEP FROM THE TRAIN ... INTO YOUR CAR
Tiresome cross-country drives
are eliminated when you use the
Rail-Auto Travel Plan. Enjoy
the comfort and safety of a fast
rail trip ... then drive a car at
your destination for business
calls or vacation side-trips. you
can have a drive-yourself car
waiting for you in nearly any
major Canadian or United States
city. Ask your Ticket Agent for
full details on this modern, con-
venient way to travel.
The text is accompanied by a drawing of a business suited man
walking from a streamlined coach to a car - right at the platform.
it is not clear to me that this is a service where you ship your car
or arrange use of a rental car?
