Years ago, we came across some writing in the Merrillee's collection which
didn't go to the Public Archives which stated the cab windows were #15
Mahogany (International or Pittsburgh) . It was attributed to a E W
Drinwell, General Master Painter, Rm 500, Windsor Station, CPR.

I am painting a CP steam engine circa 1926, looking at the black and white
pictures I can’t tell if the cab windows were painted black or red. I
believe that post 1930’s they were trimmed in red, but with the earlier
lettering schemes I can’t tell.
